I am The Media Lady and I’ve been threatening to start #TheMediaLadyMonday for longer than I care to admit. I was always behind a camera recording or a computer editing and for a change of pace, I’ve decided to actually start talking to and seeing people directly as opposed to only through my camera lens. But, everything had to be…yep, you guessed it…perfect. I’m guilty. Since we all know that nobody is perfect, why in the world do we stress ourselves out to make things perfect before we begin? My advice to you, and me, is to move. Even without all the answers – just get started because nothing will ever get done if we never start. You, no we, will learn as we go, and adjust as we grow. We can always make changes – thus the words upgrade and update – words that we tend to forget. We no longer strive for perfection; we’ve made it our hindrance to starting, moving forward and our productivity.
No. More. Perfect. Hindrance. So here goes – #TheMediaLadyMonday is my version of a worldwide accountability and connectivity conversation. I don’t have everything together nor am I an expert but I can get started and introduce myself to you…so glad to e-meet you!! We can do so much together because we all know something that someone else doesn’t, and, we all need encouragement. Can we have a real conversation and hold each other accountable? I know I need it…do you? There is so much that I have and want to do but, wanting everything perfect, I haven’t done it yet. What about you? Can you identify with me? Is there something that you’ve been “about to do” that still isn’t done because you’re waiting for it or things to be perfect? Talk to me – let me know that I’m not alone.
Funny thing – after everything I wrote, I still vacillated with posting this and waiting until next Monday to start because I wasn’t sure it was perfect enough to post.
