In my opinion, you do not only live once, you live every single day there is breath in your body. We will not always have the answers for or know everything about our next steps, or, about anything in life. But, having the right amount of courage, even if it is just a little, allows us to be bold enough to navigate through all the happenings of life – big and small.
In checking the dictionary for the actual meaning of the word bold, there were several definitions. The two that stuck with me the most were necessitating courage and daring; beyond the usual limits of conventional thought or action; imaginative. So, to paraphrase in The Media Lady terms, being bold is thinking unconventional thoughts, imagining how you can do it and being courageous or daring enough to try. Being bold is not only necessary for huge, world changing, or life altering actions. Little actions, healing your family, fashion senses, trying a new app, learning a new skill, tackling that room in your house, etc; any type of movement, change or upgrade requires a certain boldness when it is new or unfamiliar. The key is – be daring enough to try.
Being bold will require a paradigm shift, yes, a shift in your thinking. Try being bold enough to make your first thoughts to be how your “it” CAN happen instead of the multiple reasons why it cannot or why it may fail. Try being bold enough to come up with methods to tweak and remove obstacles in getting “it” done. Try being bold enough to see your “it” beyond its starting point and work towards how you imagine it as completed. It is true that “it” will not always be easy to accomplish but that is to be expected. The challenges are worth it so welcome them. They can stretch you, teach you, navigate you in a different direction and make you bold enough to ask for help when needed – definitely a wise action. My “it” is different from your it but to put it simply, be bold enough to move, stick it out and don’t quit. You live everyday so be bold enough to try new things, tweak the old and do things to enjoy life.
